Deep, lasting change
We all encounter situations that feel overwhelming and test our coping abilities. We get activated or triggered and react in ways that feel out of proportion, ineffective, or lead to disconnection from self and others. The activation might be related to trauma, self esteem issues, life transitions, or other stressors that overwhelm your capacity. If you want to change those reactions and feel more connected to yourself and others, EMDR and IFS are effective therapies to achieve these goals.
I see therapy as a collaborative process and together we will explore how certain thoughts, feelings, behavior patterns, and past experiences might be contributing to your difficulties. I use EMDR, IFS/parts work, and Polyvagal Theory to help you both understand your activation and to regulate your nervous system. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal, and working with internalized negative core beliefs and body based reactions are crucial to healing and accessing a more authentic self.
I offer weekly therapy and EMDR intensives. EMDR intensives can accelerate healing and facilitate symptom relief and change in a shorter period of time. Intensives are extended, concentrated sessions that effectively address deep rooted challenges.
